I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sixteen. My mom, brother and I were sitting on Main Street USA at Walt Disney World waiting for the afternoon parade. My dad had left to grab a “snack.” Little did I know that he really went to purchase a three foot plush Mickey Mouse for me. It was a souvenir that I had been wanting for our entire vacation. I squealed when I saw him exit the Emporium walking towards me, carrying the gift – what a magical moment! From that point forward, I was enamored with Mickey and all things Disney.
Fast forward some twenty-five plus years. I’m now married with two children of my own and I think it’s safe to say, we are a Disney family. Our family visits a Disney Destination at least once a year, traveling from our home in western Pennsylvania. We have traveled to Walt Disney World dozens of times and have made several visits to Walt’s original park, Disneyland, in Anaheim, California. Our family has also set sail on ten Disney Cruises – itineraries have included the Bahamas, the Eastern and Western Caribbean, the Southern Caribbean and Alaska- my absolute favorite vacation to date! In my free time, I enjoy running and have completed several Run Disney races – three Wine and Dine Half Marathons, along with the Castaway Cay 5K on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.
Needless to say, with my obvious passion for all things Disney, I became the “unofficial” Disney vacation planner for my friends and family. After years of providing advice on dining reservations, FastPass+ (now Genie+) guidance, and recommending my personal favorite (secret) parade viewing spot in the Magic Kingdom, I decided to become “official” and join the incredible team at Dreamers Do Travels. I am over the moon excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to help you plan a magical vacation for your family!
