Our Story
A Family Affair with a Passion for Travel
At Dreamers Do Travels, we believe that every vacation should feel like a close-knit family experience. That’s why we’re a husband-and-wife team, Bill and Liz Winter, and our passion for travel runs deep. Our story began with childhood vacations to the Walt Disney World® Resort, where we later both worked in various roles between 2004 and 2012. It was during our time as ‘Skippers’ on the Jungle Cruise® attraction in the Magic Kingdom® Park that we met—proving that corny jokes and a sprinkle of pixie dust can bring people together!
After relocating to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, our love for Disney and travel never wavered. In 2015, we turned our passion into a business by launching Dreamers Do Travels. Since then, we, with the partnership of some incredibly-talented fellow travel enthusiast team members, dedicated ourselves to helping families, couples, and travelers of all kinds create the most memorable vacations. We’re hands-on in every aspect of the business, working closely with our clients and supporting our travel team as they grow into experts.

FUN FACTS ABOUT US
A Disney Love Story Turned Travel Adventure Experts
While owners Liz and Bill met while working at The World Famous Jungle Cruise at Walt Disney World, they also worked at other Disney attractions. Liz worked at the Great Movie Ride (R.I.P.!) as a tour guide and gangster, and Bill worked at Pirates of the Caribbean and One Man’s Dream!
The couple’s first date was at Biergarten in EPCOT, followed by a viewing of “Illuminations”, the former nighttime spectacular there!
Liz’s first role at Walt Disney World was Main Street Operations (essentially, the main gate at Magic Kingdom and parade audience control), and Bill’s first role was in merchandise around the resort!
Liz and Bill named their first child, a daughter, “Lillian” after Walt Disney’s wife!
The Winter Family’s pets’ names all pay homage to Disney. The couple’s first dog together was a Yellow Lab named “Koda” (from “Brother Bear”), and they now have sister Fox Red Labs, “Millie” (a boat name at the Jungle Cruise) and “Daisy” (Duck)!
With the installation of the level of customer service Disney is known for ingrained in the Winters, it’s something Liz especially missed when the couple moved to Pittsburgh. In 2015, with the humble beginnings of a dream concocted at their dining room table, Liz and Bill realized they could still work not AT Disney, but WITH Disney, and Dreamers Do Travels was born. It quickly grew with the addition of some fantastic team members and a large variety of destinations being added to the booking portfolio, constantly evolving to serve an ever-growing client base!
“Dreamers Do Travels” gets its name from Disney-inspired lyrics (but of course)! When Liz and Bill first met at Walt Disney World, the nighttime fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom was “Wishes”. From this soundtrack, the lyrics “We’ll make a wish and do as DREAMERS DO” would be where the name was chosen for their beloved business!
